÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ has an opening for a full-time Assistant Field Hockey Coach.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Head Coach of Field Hockey, the Assistant Coach will be primarily responsible for all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III field hockey program. The Assistant Coach will also be responsible for secondary administrative duties including game day management, equipment room oversight, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. This position functions as the substitute Head Coach when the Head Coach is unavailable. Some night and weekend hours are required.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with sport skill instruction, motivation, and conduct of practice sessions.
• Assisting with game plan development and team/opponent analysis.
• Assisting with gameday execution, management, instruction, and evaluation.
• Recruiting scholar-athletes to ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required. 
• Must have technical and tactical knowledge of field hockey, and a thorough understanding of strategy and rules of the game.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of coaching experience, and collegiate playing experience.
• Experience in leadership roles or as an interim Head Coach.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Ability to become van certified upon hiring.  
• Master’s Degree.
