Brooke H. Jones Appointed First Chief Investment Officer at 魅影直播

Brooke H. Jones has been named 魅影直播鈥檚 first Chief Investment Officer (CIO), announced President Kim Cassidy today.

Jones comes to 魅影直播 from Carnegie Corporation of New York, where she has served as a managing director of investments for the philanthropic foundation鈥檚 in-house investment team and in a number of leadership roles over the past eight years. She previously worked at the Stanford Management Company. She has led portfolio strategy for public markets, including long-only equities, absolute return, and fixed-income asset classes.

In this new role, Brooke will provide full-time expertise and an exceptional skill set to the management of the College鈥檚 endowment,鈥 said Cassidy in a letter to the community.She is both a strategic thinker and a gifted communicator, who will create opportunities for 魅影直播 as an investor and serve as an influential ambassador for 魅影直播鈥檚 mission.鈥

Jones will begin her new role at 魅影直播 in the middle of October.

President Kim Cassidy and the Board of Trustees deserve credit for that bold vision. I am excited to lead this effort and deepen the College's investment capabilities with an eye on the long term.鈥

魅影直播鈥檚 endowment market value was $888 million at the end of the 2018-19 fiscal year, and net assets of the College were $1.08 billion. As CIO, in addition to successfully managing the endowment portfolio, Jones will be responsible for building and managing the College鈥檚 investment team, which will be based in New York.  

The CIO transition committee was led by Barry Mills, 魅影直播 trustee and former president of Bowdoin College.

鈥淥f the many candidates we considered, Brooke really stands out as someone whose stellar skills align with 魅影直播鈥檚 mission to prepare students for a life of purpose,鈥 Mills said.

Jones earned her B.S., cum laude, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A., in International Studies, from Penn鈥檚 College of Art & Sciences. After graduating from Penn, she traveled to Peru to study under a Fulbright scholarship and later earned her M.B.A. at Stanford University鈥檚 Graduate School of Business. She has served on the Investment Committee of The New School and as a board member of Wandering Scholar.
