Center for Social Sciences
The Center for Social Sciences is located in Dalton Hall, which houses the Departments of Anthropology, Economics, Political Science, and Sociology.
The Center for Social Sciences was established to match the shared physical space with a conceptual space for the social sciences on campus. The Center's goals are twofold: 1) to raise the academic and intellectual visibility of the social sciences at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ and in the broader community; and 2) to build collaborative relationships among social science faculty and students.
During these years, the Center has supported faculty collaboration across campus departments. It has funded student-initiated events and offered enhanced opportunities for student/faculty collaboration in a number of areas. The Center is working to build social spaces in Dalton that will make the Center a campus gathering place for discussion of world events. A description of all the Center's current activities can be found on the Activities Page.
