Apply for a Digital Scholarship Faculty Fellowship by Oct. 18
LITS is currently accepting applications for a Digital Scholarship Faculty Fellow for summer 2024.
The Digital Scholarship Faculty Fellowships are a new opportunity for ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ faculty, which is designed to encourage faculty leadership and support in-depth faculty participation in Digital Scholarship initiatives, to incubate College engagement in cutting-edge digital and interdisciplinary research and pedagogy, and to recognize the service and contributions that faculty make to the Digital Scholarship program.
Summer Digital Scholarship Faculty Fellows propose and serve as faculty advisor for a digital scholarship research project that directly engages undergraduates selected for the 10-week , directed by our digital scholarship specialist, Alice McGrath. The faculty fellow is expected to work closely with Alice to develop suitable project, contribute domain expertise and content guidance, and once project work is underway in June and July, meet regularly with student fellows to advise and provide feedback.
The faculty fellow will receive a stipend of $2,500 and support for the proposed digital scholarship project as needed (through a Digital ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ project grant or other source subject to approval by LITS).
Applications are due Oct. 18. All tenured, tenure-track and continuing non-tenure track faculty are eligible to apply.
In early spring we will accept applications for a 2024-25 academic-year fellow, who will partner with the digital scholarship specialist to develop and facilitate programming that promotes campus-wide engagement in digital research methods and creates opportunities to develop digital competencies and critical perspectives on digital technology.
