Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Make a gift or pledge to The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Fund in September, before soliciting your classmates— 100% ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Fund volunteer participation at any giving level is essential.
    • Consider making a multi-year pledge leading up to your next Reunion 
  • Solicit your classmates
    • Emails and phone calls to individual classmates throughout the year
    • Contact classmates during time-sensitive Challenge Campaigns 
  • Report feedback to your ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Fund staff liaison 
    • Pledges and gifts 
    • Changes in contact information and any additional relevant information
  • Review monthly reports 
  • Chairs - Recruit a diverse group of committee members in the year leading up to your Reunion
  • Thank classmates who have made a gift, with special attention to new donors and those who do not give every year  
  • Attend Volunteer Summit in the fall, if you are able 
  • Participate in conference calls
  • Use social media, email, and more to spread the word about important College information, such as the fiscal year end. Look in the monthly volunteer communications for suggested wording.

Additional Ways to Increase Involvement: 

  • Find lost alumnae/i and send us their new contact information
  • Reach out to disengaged classmates 
  • Post on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Class blogs, etc.) 
    • Promote giving (especially in October, December, May, and during Challenges)  
    • Express pride in being a ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Alum 
    • Counter negative comments with positive ones
  • Be a mentor for an inexperienced Class Chair

Role Overview 

As a Reunion Gift Chair or committee member, you play a vital role in connecting with classmates and encouraging contributions to the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Fund (BMF). Your efforts directly strengthen our alumnae/i community and support future generations at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥. We can’t thank you enough for your dedication! It’s no surprise that the Princeton Review recognizes BMC as one of the Top 20 Best Alumni Networks among Private Schools. Your involvement helps maintain this legacy! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Committee Meetings: Engage in regular meetings, which may occur via phone, text, or virtually, depending on what works best for your class.
     
  • Attend a Virtual GiveCampus Training: Join one of the monthly training sessions from October to May.
     
    • If you need a special time, please reach out to Associate Director of Annual Giving Jenny Lo:  JJLo@brynmawr.edu.
       
  • Utilize the GiveCampus Portal: Your portal will allow you to: 
     
    1. Select Classmates for Solicitation: Identify and reach out to classmates who might or never have contributed to the BMF. 
       
    2. Solicit Contributions: Use various methods (email, phone, text, in-person) to ask classmates for their support throughout the year. 
       
    3. Communicate Goals and Progress: Keep your classmates informed about donor/ participation goals and achievements from class reports in GiveCampus. 
       
    4. Express Gratitude: Thank classmates in a few clicks!  Thank classmates for their donations to foster a sense of community and appreciation. Recognizing their contributions reinforces the bond among us and highlights the collective impact we’re making together.
       
  • Attend Reunion: If possible, join us for the reunion festivities from May 30 - June 1, 2025.
     
  • Make a Personal Contribution: Leading by example can inspire others. If you are able, please consider making a gift to the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Fund .
