Biography

Madeline Cantor (Associate Director) received a BA from Barnard College and MFA from the University of Michigan. She performed and choreographed as a member of Dance Conduit from 1980-89 and continues to work independently. She has been awarded grants for her choreography and works as a guest choreographer with college and youth companies, community groups and professional companies, including Nimbus Dance Works which currently has three of her dances for young audiences it its repertory. At ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ she teaches technique, composition, repertory, and praxis courses in arts teaching and dance learning. She directs the School Performance Project, a group which performs in Philadelphia schools, and has been involved with reconstruction projects of historic modern dance. Outside of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ she directs  (Teaching Artists Group), serves on the national board of , and guest teaches at a charter school in Chester, Pa.
