What's happening at your internship? We would love to hear what kind of work you are doing!
As a recruitment intern at the Hertie School, I get to understand the day-to-day of those who make a graduate school come to life. During my time here, I have worked on a variety of projects. I have edited copy for the Hertie School webpage and done data analytics to understand which recruitment events throughout the year work best. I also get to shadow many teams, such as digital marketing and the funding office.
Why did you apply for this internship?
I applied for this internship because, as a student, I am curious to see the behind-the-scenes of an organization. The Hertie School is a school of governance and public policy in the center of Berlin. It is full of passionate students from all over the world who want to make a difference. This environment is informative and inspiring. I enjoy being on a small team that works together to recruit students every year for the graduate school programs. I am glad that I applied to an internship where I got to try something new and be in a new environment.
Was there anything special about how you found this internship?
I applied for this internship as part of IES Abroad鈥檚 Summer Internships, which are sponsored by the Career and Civic Engagement Center. I am so grateful to have learned about this opportunity through the Career Center at 魅影直播, as they have also supported me all summer long. IES Abroad offers summer internships in Berlin, Germany for two months, which is a great opportunity for anyone looking to explore and try something new.
What has been your favorite part of this internship?
My favorite part of this internship has been getting to learn more about myself. Being in a new role in a new environment comes along with challenges, and it helps me understand what I do and do not like in a role. I love getting to work in a school environment where there are bright people all around me! Everyone is eager and passionate about learning, which is a big part of who I am. As an intern this summer, I have learned new skills and wore many hats, which will be helpful as I embark on my career journey.
